For
this activity we watched a clip form the movie The Lorax and talked about the different unique trees. We looked at
the different trees across the world. Then we took our inspiration form these
trees to create our own tress or flowers. We designed two different trees using
different mediums a close up and a landscape design. We were only aloud to use
warm colors for one and on the other cool colors. I choose to use warm colors
for my landscape of bubble trees.
Extension Activity:
The
trees we looked at from around the world the students could explore more and do
research on them. This activity could be used in geography and science. The
students would have to find out where they are in the world and research so
facts about them. Then we could create a landscape and fun facts about our
trees.
