Earth Day

For this lesson we learned about Earth Day. They explained little about Earth Day and why it is important to keep the Earth clean. We looked at picture of the Earth, when it was clean and when it was run over with pollution and waste. We talked about ways that we could keep the Earth clean. We learned different art terms that would be incorporated into our project. Using tempura paint, shaving cream, and a circle piece of paper we used to make our Earths. To do this we put a layer of shaving cream down, put yellow and blue paint over the shaving cream. Then using our fingers or a spoon we swirled the paint together. We then laid the circle over the top of the paint and pressed down leaving it on there for three seconds. When we lifted the paper back up we had a shaving cream picture that look like Earth. The shaving cream gave the Earth texture witch looked like mountain landscape.

Extinction Activity,

For this project we could talk about the different landforms on Earth. Then we could use this project to get high hills and then carve out the rivers or valleys. We could try and forming the different landforms.
