Origami

For this lesson we created different origami animal. We learned techniques on how to accurately construct our origami. They both lead us step by step through making the first origami our angelfish. Then our teachers split us up into groups to make the dog and the frogs. Then finally our fourth animal we created our own animal. We colored each animal. We had to then write a story for our four-origami animals.

Extension Activity

I loved their idea of making us write a story based on the origami. As an activity we could talk about different customs of different cultures such as Japan. Then the students could study specific origami and the meaning behind them. They could teach it to how to make them then to the class.
